Connecting Math to Our Lives Math Introductions 2002-2003   GHANA: Class introduction from educator William Asamoah Parbi and students (ages 15-18) at Accra High School in Accra, Ghana. Hello friends Accra High School is one of the oldest schools in Ghana. Looking on the Africa map Ghana is located at the west side. Accra High school can be found in Accra, the capital city of Ghana in an area called Ridge. The school is just opposite Switzerland and German embassies. It also shares a common boundary with the West African Examination Council. The population of the school is currently about 1,250 (thousand two hundred and fifty) students. The school is furnished with full time professional teachers who are devoted and by their efforts have raised the academic standard of the school. There are about fifteen students participating in the world link project. Our ages range from fifteen to eighteen. (15 - 18). We are happy to be part of this project essentially having got the chance to relate to other students around the globe. Over here many people sell different items on the market as part of every day activity. We will want to investigate the sort of mathematics that takes place on their mind when it comes to giving balance to customers. We are still thinking about the best topic to choose for statistics and society .We want to bring something new and attractive all the time to make others enjoy or benefit from this project.
