Galindo and Félix Alvarez and their 14 year old students
from the School "José Santos Ossa" in Antofagasta,
Chile
SECOND DAY IN THE DRIEST DESERT
After visiting Chuquicamata mine, and on the way
back to San Pedro, we got sleep. So here are some pictures of
that momment.
Walking around San Pedro we found some fresh water
and fight agaist million mosquitoes. In front of the gate of
the "feria de artesanía" we called home! Children from the town
along with us while selling their goods.

Iglesia de San Pedro de Atacama. Then a
sight of the streets and feris de artesanía where you can find
handcraft and weaves.

Our camping is very arid and images are wordless.
It is managed by CONAF, They take care of natural preservation.
Houses are built of "adobe", bricks made of water
and earth. A wonderful view of volcano Licancabur taken from
the camping. And the sky when the sun settles.
